Compliance and Alternative Use of Heavy Equipment with Jim Vaughn, CUSP
This session looks at the use of cranes as man-lifts and loaders as fork-lifts. Most users don’t realize that lifting personnel with a crane is prohibited by OSHA without very clear exceptions that will soon be eliminated. Adding forks to a loader can cause employers an expensive error in post incident litigation and trouble with OSHA. Learn when you can and when you can’t by reviewing the applicable laws and consensus standards.
